Envision Pharma Group presented original research at the ISMPP meeting in Baltimore, MD, USA, April 11–13
Envision Pharma Group were involved in a range of activities at the 12th annual meeting of the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals in Baltimore, MD, USA, April 11−13.
In keeping with the theme of this year’s meeting, “Medical Publications in a Data-Rich World: Enhancing Quality and Transparency”, members of the Envision team presented two of the Member Oral Presentations focusing on the increasing role of social and web-based media in medical publications.
Karen Woolley, PhD, CMPP, presented “Who engages with patient-centered, peer-reviewed publications? Tweeting of JAMA Patient Pages”.
Paul Lane, PhD, CMPP, presented “Effect of congress presentations on internet search volume and Wikipedia page visits for PCSK9 inhibitors”.
In addition to these oral presentations, members of the Envision team also presented their original research in the guided poster tour and poster sessions:
“Avoiding high-risk authors: Should Corporate Integrity Agreements recommend searching the Retracted Publications database?”
“Forewarned is forearmed: Trends in industry-sponsored clinical trials relevant to publication professionals”
